 Where to go in April

Many countries have a pleasant climate (mild temperatures, low rainfall or dry weather) in April. Some countries are to be avoided due to unfavorable weather conditions (high or low temperatures, heavy rainfall or cyclones which often cause heavy damage).

  Africa
The dry season begins in some countries and rainfall weakens in most other countries of southern Africa. Rainfall is abundant in the Central African countries in April. African countries located north of the equator have a dry climate with high temperatures on the coasts and very high far away from the sea except along of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean (Algeria, Morocco, Madeira, Canaries) where they are mild. Temperatures are high in the Sahara desert. The rainy season begins on the coasts of some West African countries.

Temperatures are high in Central American countries (they are lower in the mountains). Several South American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Suriname, Ecuador) have a rainy climate in April (rainfall is rare on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts). The climate is dry on the Caribbean islands where temperatures range between 27 and 30° during the daytime (they lose a few degrees at night).
