 Where to go in July

Many countries have a pleasant climate (mild temperatures, low rainfall or dry weather) in July. Some countries are to be avoided due to unfavorable weather conditions (high or low temperatures, heavy rainfall or cyclones which often cause heavy damage).

  Africa
Temperatures range from 20 to 25° and rainfall is often nonexistent in most countries and islands of southern Africa (South Africa, Madagascar, Botswana, Mauritius, Namibia, Mozambique, Mayotte, Reunion) in July. The rains are also nonexistent in the countries of North Africa (Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt). Temperatures are high in these countries (30° on the coasts ; much more in the desert areas). The islands located in the Atlantic Ocean (Canary Islands, Madeira) have a milder climate. Rainfall is low in most Central African countries in July. The rains are high on the coasts of West African countries (they are more moderate far away from the sea).

Temperatures reach 30° and rainfall is high in the countries located near the Equator. Temperatures are milder (20 to 25°) in the countries located in the center of South America. The climate is very cold however in southern Argentina and Chile in July. Temperatures reach 30° and rainfall is abundant on most Caribbean islands.
