Where to go in November |
Many countries have a pleasant climate (mild temperatures, low rainfall or dry weather) in November. Some countries are to be avoided due to unfavorable weather conditions (high or low temperatures, heavy rainfall or cyclones which often cause heavy damage).
| Africa |
|
Rainfall is high in November in the countries (Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon) and on the islands (Mayotte, Reunion, Mauritius) located south of the equator except in South Africa and Madagascar where the climate is dry. Rainfall is flow in the Central and East African countries located north of the Equator (Eritrea, Chad, Sudan). The coasts of North African countries and the Atlantic Ocean islands (Madeira and the Canary Islands) have a mild and rainy climate. Temperatures are high on the coasts (they are very high far away from the sea) and rainfall is low in most West African countries.
| America |
|
Temperatures are low in North America in November except in the south of the United States and Mexico where they are mild (20 to 25°). Most Central American countries (Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras) have a dry climate with high temperatures on the coasts and mild temperatures in the mountains (rainfall is very low except on the Caribbean coast). The coasts of Chile and Peru have a dry climate. Rainfall is high in the center of South America (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay). Most Caribbean islands have a hot and humid climate in November (temperatures reach 30° and rainfall is abundant).
| Asia |
|
The climate of the Central Asian countries is cool in November (temperatures do not exceed 10° and rainfall is low). The countries located in the northeast of Asia (Mongolia, China, South Korea, North Korea, Japan) also have a cool climate. Temperatures are milder in the countries located further south (India, Vietnam, Thailand). Rainfall is abundant in Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Temperatures are mild and rainfall is low in the Middle East countries (except in Turkey where temperatures are low).
| Europe |
|
Temperatures are below 10° and rainfall is low in November in northern (from Norway to the Baltic countries) and eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, Ukraine). Temperatures are also low and rainfall is moderate in the countries (Germany, France, Belgium, The Netherlands) and on the Islands (Jersey, Guernsey) located in the west of Europe. Rainfall is high and temperatures are slightly higher in southern Europe (15° in most countries). Sunshine is low throughout Europe in November.

Southern Australia and New Zealand have a mild climate in November (temperatures are higher in northern Australia). The islands located south of the Equator also have a mild and relatively dry climate (temperatures range between 26 and 30°). The climate of the islands located north of the Equator is warmer and more humid with abundant rainfall and stable temperatures (30°). Cyclones (strong winds and heavy rainfall) sometimes pass through the Marshall Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands and Micronesia in November.
