Climate

 
Germany has a temperate climate with four seasons.

Temperatures vary more in the south (1° in January, 23° in July) than in the north (3° in January, 21° in July). Rainfall ranges between 600 and 800 mm per year (they reach 2 000 mm in the mountains located in the far south).

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are low (2°) or very low when cold winds blow. Rainfall is low but snowfalls are frequent in the south and in the east.

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise gradually (8° in March, 13° in April, 18° in May) and rainfall is moderate.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures are constant (22° during the daytime, 12° at night) and rainfall (short and frequent storms) are high.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures drop progressively (18° in September, 13° in October, 7° in November) and rainfall is low. The days are often sunny.
