Honduras has three different climatic zones.
Temperatures vary little throughout the year on the coasts (27 to 35°) and in the mountains (25 to 30° or 20 to 25° depending on altitude but the nights are sometimes cool). Rainfall in abundant and humidity is high all year round.
 The Caribbean coast (northern Honduras)
Temperatures range from 28° in January to 33° in July (they momentarily drop when a cold air stream passes through the north coast in December and January). Rainfall (1 500 and 3000 mm per year) is regular and abundant throughout the year, Hurricanes sometimes reach the Carribean coast in August, September and October.
The central mountains
The mountains located in the center of Honduras have a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season. Rainfall is high (1000 mm per year).
Rainy season (May to October)
Temperatures reach 25 to 30° depending on altitude and rainfall is moderate.
Dry season (November to April)
Temperatures are mild (20 to 25° depending on altitude) and rainfall is very low or nonexistent.
The pacific coast (southern Honduras)
The south coast has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Rainy season (May to October)
Temperatures are high (35°) and rainfall is abundant.
Dry season (November to April)
Temperatures is high (32°) and rainfall is very low.
