Climate

 
Argentina has three different climatic zones.

Temperatures are high in the north (20 to 35°), temperate in the center (20 to 30°) and low in the south (0 to 15°). The annual rains are higher in the north (700 to 1 400 mm) than in the center (500 to 1 000 mm) and the south (100 to 400 mm).

Northern Argentina
The north has a subtropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season. The rains are higher in the northeast (1 400 mm per year) than in the northwest (700 mm per year).

Rainy season (October to April)
Temperatures are higher in the northeast (33°) than in the northwest (27°). Rainfall is high and humidity reaches 80%.

Dry season (May to September)
Temperatures drop from May (24°) to June (21°) and then rise to September (28°). Rainfall is low.

Central Argentina
The center of Argentina has a temperate climate with four seasons. Rainfall varies from 500 mm per year in the west to 1000 mm in the east per year.

Winter (June to August)
Temperatures range between 15 and 20° during the daytime (they lose ten degrees at night). Rainfall is low.

Spring (September to November)
Temperatures rise (25°) and rainfall is moderate.

Summer (December to February)
Temperatures reach 30° and rainfall is high.

Autumn (March to May)
Temperatures drop slowly (20-25 in March, 15-20° in May) and rainfall is moderate.

Southern Argentina
The south has a subarctic climate with four seasons. Rainfall is low (100 to 400 mm per year).

Winter (June to August)
Temperatures reach 0° and rainfall is low.

Spring (September to November)
Temperatures do not exceed 10° and rainfall is low.

Summer (December to February)
Temperatures are mild (18 to 20°) and rainfall is low.

Autumn (March to May)
Temperatures drop to 10° and rainfall is low.
