Jamaica has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures range between 28 and 32° throughout the year (they are lower in the mountains located in the center of the island). Annual rainfall is moderate on the south coast (700 to 1 000 mm), high on the north coast (1 500 mm) and very high in the mountains (3000 to 5 000 mm). Violent storms sometimes reach the coasts of the island in August, September and October.
Rainy season (May to November)
Temperatures are stable (30-32°). Heavy showers usually fall in the late afternoon.
Dry season (December to April)
Temperatures are (28 to 30°) and rainfall is low. Fresh winds strongly cool down the atmosphere when they pass through the island in December to February and March.
