Climate

 
Panama has a tropical climate with a long rainy season and a short dry season.

Temperatures range between 28 and 32° during the year (they are cooler in the mountains). The rains are higher on the Caribbean coast (1 500 to 3 500 mm per year) than on the Pacific Coast (1 100 to 2 300 mm per year).

Rainy season (May to December)
Temperatures are high (28 to 30° C) and rainfall is abundant (rains usually fall in the afternoon). Sunshine is moderate (four to five hours per day) and humidity is very high (90 to 100%).

Dry season (January to April)
Temperatures are high (30 to 32°) and rainfal is low. Humidity is moderate (70%) and sunshine is high (eight to nine hours per day).
