Climate

 
Papua New Guinea has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Temperatures reach 30° all year round (they rarely exceed 22° in the mountains). Rainfall varies between 2 000 and 3 000 mm per year (3000 to 4 000 mm per year in the central mountains).

Rainy season (November to April)
Temperatures are stable (30°) and rainfall (torrential rains in the afternoon and in the evening) is abundant.

Dry season (May to October)
Temperatures are constant (30°) and rainfall is high.
