Climate

 
Bangladesh has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Temperatures range from 25° in January to 33° in April (the hottest month). Annual rainfall is higher in the northeast (4 000 mm) than in the center and in the south (2 000 to 2 900 mm) and in the west (1 500 mm). Cyclones sometimes cause major flooding in September, October and November.

Rainy season (April to October)
Temperatures reach 31-33° during the daytime (they lose five degrees at night). Rainfall is abundant and humidity is very high (85-95%). Sunshine is low (four hours per day).

Dry season (November to March)
Temperatures range between 25 and 30° (they lose eight degrees at night). Rainfal is low and the sun shines six to eight hours a day. Humidity is low.
