Climate

 
Belgium has an oceanic climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range from 4° in January to 21° in July. Rainfall is higher in the east (1 200 to 1 400 mm per year) than in the center and in the west (700 to 850 mm per year).

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures range between 1 and 5°. Fog frequently occurs and rainfall is moderate (the hills are often covered in snow). Sunshine is low (two hours per day).

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise progressively (9° in March, 12° in April, 17° in May) and rainfall is moderate.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures are stable (19-21°) and rainfall is moderate. The sun shines seven to eight hours a day.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures steadily drop (17° in September, 14° in October, 8° in November) and rainfall is moderate.
