The island of Dominica has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures oscillate between 29 and 32° throughout the year (they are lower in the mountains located in the center of the island). Annual rainfall is higher in the mountains (6 000 mm) than on the east coast (2600 mm) and on the west Coast (1 700 mm). Humidity is high all year round. Hurricanes sometimes reach the island between June and October.
