Climate

 
Serbia has a temperate continental climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range between 4° in January and 29° in July (they are lower in the mountains located in the southwest). Rainfall is higher in the mountains (700 to 1 000 mm per year) than in the central plain (550 to 800 mm per year). Sunshine varies from 1 500 to 2 200 hours per year.

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are low (6°) or very low (-10) when cold winds blow. Rainfall is low (snowfalls are frequent in the mountains).

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise progressively (12° in March, 18° in April, 23° in May) and rainfall is moderate.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures range between 27 and 29°. Rainfall (thunderstorms) is moderate.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures steadily drop (24° in September, 18° in October, 11° in November) and rainfall is moderate.
