Climate

 
The Solomon Islands have a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Temperatures are high throughout the year (30° during the daytime, 22° at night). Rainfall varies between 3 000 and 5 000 mm per year depending on the islands. Sunshine is moderate (six to eight hours per day). Cyclones sometimes reach the archipelago.

Rainy season (December to May)
Temperatures are stable (30°) and rainfall is abundant (the rains, often short and torrential, usually fall in the afternoon).

Dry season (June to November)
Temperatures are constant (30°) and rainfall is high.
