Climate

 
Uzbekistan has a continental climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range from 5° in January to 35-40° in July (they are lower in the mountains located in the east). Rains range between 100 and 300 mm per year (they are higher in the mountains). Sunshine is very high.

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures reach 5° during the daytime and drop below zero at night (they sometimes drop to -20 or -30° at night in the west). Rainfall is low.

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures become mild (20° in April) and rainfall is moderate.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures range between 35 and 40° (they are milder in the mountains) and rainfall is nonexistent. Dust-laden winds regularly pass through the country. Humidity is low.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures steadily drop (the nights are cold and frost appears) and rainfall is low.
