Climate

 
Armenia has a continental climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range between 25 to 30° in July and 0 to -10° in January (they are lower in the mountains). Rainfall is higher in the mountains (800 mm per year) than in the valleys (300 to 500 mm per year). Sunshine is very high (2 700 hours per year).

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures range between -10 and 5° (they are very low in the mountains). They sharply drop when cold winds pass through the country. Snowfall is high.

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise progressively (5 to 10° in March, 15° in April, 20 to 25° in May) and rainfall is moderate in the valleys and on the plateaus (they reach 100 mm per month in the mountains) .

Summer (June to September)
Temperatures range between 25 and 30° (more sometimes). Rainfall is low.

Autumn (October to November)
Temperatures are mild and rainfall is low.
