Botswana has a subtropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures range between 20° in July and 30° in January (they lose 10 to 15 degrees at night). Rainfall varies from 600 mm in the northeast to 130 mm in the southwest.
Dry season (April to September)
Temperatures rarely exceed 25° the day (21° in July). They can be very cool at night (they sometimes reach 0° in July). Dust brought by western winds covers the country in August and September
Rainy season (October to March)
Temperatures reach 30° during the day and lose ten degrees at night. They are very high (40°) in the north and in the southwest (the armest regions of the country). The wettest months are December, January and February but it rarely rains more than two consecutive days and thunderstorms are very localized. The northeast is much more watered (600 mm) than the southwest (130 mm).
