Cambodia has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures vary between 30° in January and 35° in April (they lose eight degrees at night). The rains are heavier in the mountains located in the southwest (2 500 to 5 000 mm per year) than in the central plain and on the plateaus located in the northeast (1 300 mm per year).
Rainy season (May to October)
Temperatures are high (30°) and rainfall is abundant (rains, often short and violent, usually fall in the late afternoon). Humidity is very high.
Dry season (November to April)
Temperatures range from 30° in January to 35° in April (the hottest month). Rainfall is very low or nonexistent. Humidity is moderate (50%) and sunshine is high (eight hours per day).
