Climate

 
Fiji has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Temperatures are stable all year round (26 to 30°). Annual rainfall is hgher in the mountains located in the center of the main islands (6 000 mm) than on the western coasts (2 000 mm) and on the eastern coasts (3,000 mm). Sunshine is moderate (six to eight hours per day).

Rainy season (November to April)
Temperatures reach 30° (they lose seven degrees at night) and rainfall is abundant (the rains often fall in the afternoon). Cyclones sometimes pass through the archipelago (usually in January and February).

Dry season (May to October)
Temperatures are stable (26 to 28°) and rainfall is moderate except on the eastern coasts of the islands where the rains are abundant.
