Climate

 
Greenland has a polar climate with a long winter and a short summer.

Temperatures are low all year round (-7° in January to 10° in July in the south and -35° in January to 4° in July in the north). Rainfall ranges from 1 900 mm per year in the south to 50 mm per year in the north. The atmospere is constantly very dry.

Summer (July to August)
Temperatures range from 10° in the south to 4° in the north. Rainfall is low.

Winter (October to April)
A cold air mass stagnates continuously over the island. Temperatures are very low (-7° in the south and -35° in the north). Rainfall is moderate in the south and very low in the north.

Autumn and Spring last only a few weeks.
