Climate

 
Ireland has a maritime climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range between 8° in January and 20° in July. The rains fall two hundred days per year (750 to 1000 mm in the east, 1 000 to 1 400 mm in the west and 2 000 mm in the central mountains). Sunshine oscillate between 1 100 and 1 600 hours per year.

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are stable (4°). Rainfall is high on the west coast and moderate on the east coast.

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise steadily (9° in March, 11° in April, 14° in May) and rainfall is moderate. May is the sunniest month (six hours per day).

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures are constant (18-20°) and rainfall is moderate.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures slowly drop (16° in September, 13° in October, 10° in November) and rainfall is high.
