Lebanon has a Mediterranean climate with four seasons.
Temperatures range from 10° in January to 32° in July (they are milder in the central mountains). Annual rainfall is higher in the mountains (1 300 to 2 000 mm) than on the coast (800 mm) and in the interior plain (600 mm in the center, 250 mm in the north).
Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are stable (16° on the coast, 12° in the interior plain), and rainfall is abundant. Snow frequently falls in the mountains.
Spring (March to May)
Temperatures are mild (20°). A warm wind occasionally causes a sharp rise in temperatures when it blows. Rainfall is moderate in March and April (they are nonexistent in May).
Summer (June to August)
Temperatures are high (30° on the coast and in the interior plain, 26° in the mountains). Rainfall is nonexistent. Humidity is very high on the coast.
Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures are mild (25°) and rainfall is moderate.
