Climate

 
Thailand has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Temperatures range from 29° in January to 34° in April. Annual rainfall is higher in the south (2 000 mm) than in the mountains located in the north (1 100 mm) and in the center (1 500 mm). Typhoons sometimes reach the coasts in September, October and November.

Rainy season (May to October)
Temperatures reach 30 to 32° and rainfall is abundant (it usually rains two hours every afternoon). Sunshine is low (four to five hours a day) because the sky is often cloudy. Humidity is very high.

The rainy season lasts until December or January on the southeastern coast.

Dry season (November to April)
Temperatures drop until January (28°) and then rise to April (34°). Rainfall is very low and sunshine is very high (nine to ten hours per day).
