Nigeria has two different climatic zones.
Temperatures are stable (30°) throughout the year in the south and range from 30° in January to 38° in April in the north. Annual rainfall is higher in the south (2 000 to 4 000 mm) than in the center (1 200 mm) and in the north (500 to 750 mm). A dusty wind sharply reduces the humidity when it blows in December, January and February.
 Southern Nigeria
The south has a tropical climate with a long rainy season and a short dry season. Humidity is consistently high.
Rainy season (March to October)
Temperatures are stable (28-29° during the daytime and 22° at night). Rainfall is abundant (the rains are higher in the southeast than in the southwest). The sun only shines three hours per day.
Dry season (November to February)
Temperatures reach 32° during the daytime and 23° at night. Rainfall is low.
Northern Nigeria
The north has a tropical climate with short rainy season and a long dry season. Humidity is relatively low.
Rainy season (June to September)
Temperatures reach 30° during the daytime (they lose 10° at night). Rainfall is moderate and the sun shines six hours a day.
Dry season (October to May)
Temperatures range between 30° in January and 38° in April (they lose 15° at night). Rainfall is nonexistent and sunshine is very high (ten hours per day).
