Climate

 
Northern Ireland has a maritime climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range between 8° in January and 18° in July. Rainfall is higher in the west (1 600 mm per year) than in the east (800 mm per year). Sunshine range between 1 100 hours per year in the west and 1 400 hours per year in the east. High winds regularly blow.

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are stable (8°) and ranfall is high. December is the least sunny month.

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise slowly (10° in March, 12° in April, 14° in May) and rainfall is moderate. May is the sunniest month.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures reach 18° and rainfall is moderate.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures progressively drop (16° in September, 14° in October, 19° in November) and rainfall is high.
