The Northern Mariana Islands have a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures range between 28 and 30° during the year (they are cooler in the mountains located in the center of the main island). Rainfall is high (1 800 mm per year) and sunshine is moderate (six to eight hours per day).
Rainy season (June to December)
Temperatures are constant (30°) and rainfall (frequent heavy rains) is abundant. Cyclones sometimes pass through the archipelago.
Dry season (January to May)
Temperatures are stable (28°) and rainfall is moderate.
