Climate

 
The Philippines has two different climatic zones.

Temperatures are constant throughout the year (30 to 32° during the daytime, 23° at night). Rainfall is high on the coasts (1 000 mm per year) and abundant in the mountains (4 000 to 5 000 mm per year). Many hurricanes pass through the archipelago in August and September.

The western islands (Luzon, Mindoro, Panay, Negros and Mindanao)
The islands located in the west of the Philippines have a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Rainy season (June to October)
Temperatures are constant (31°) and rainfall is abundant.

Dry season (November to May)
Temperatures are stable (30 to 32°) and rainfall is low or nonexistent. Sunshine is high (seven to eight hours a day).

The eastern islands (Leyle, Samar, Southern Luzon)
The islands located in the east of the Philippines has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.

Rainy season (October to January)
Temperatures are constant (30-31°) and rainfall is abundant.

Dry season (February to September)
Temperatures are stable (32°) and rainfall is high.
