Climate

 
Rwanda has an equatorial climate with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons.

Temperatures are mild throughout the year (23° during the daytime and 18° at night on the plateau and 16° during the daytime in the mountains). Rains range from 700 mm per year in the east to 2 500 mm per year in the west.

First rainy season (March to May) and second rainy season (September to November)
Temperatures are stable (23° on the plateau, 16° in the mountains). Heavy showers fall almost every day (hey are more intense in the west than in the east).

First dry season (December to February) and second dry season (June,to August)
Temperatures are constant (23° on the plateau, 16° in the mountains) except in the northeast where they reach 30° in July and August. Rainfall is moderate.
