Climate

 
The islands of Saint Pierre and Miquelon have an oceanic climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range from -3° in February to 15° in August. Rainfall is abundant (1300 mm per year) and humidity is very high (80 to 85%) throughout the year. Winds blow constantly and mist covers the islands about one hundred days a year.

Winter (December to March)
Temperatures are continuously below 0°. January and February are the coldest months (-3°). Snowfalls are abundant. The thaw begins in March on the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Islands.

Spring (April to June)
Temperatures rise but they stay below 10°. Rainfall is high.

Summer (July to August)
Temperatures range between 20° during the daytime and 10° at night in July and August.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures cool down in September and then stay below 10° in October and November. The first frosts appear at the end of October and the first flakes fall the following month.
