Climate

 
Scotland has an oceanic climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range from 5° in January to 18° in July. Rainfall is higher in the west (900 to 1900 mm per year) than in the east (600 to 800 mm per year). Sunshine is lower in the northwest and in the mountains located in the north (700 to 1 100 hours per year) than in the east coast and in the southwest coast (1 450 ā 1 550 hours per year).

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are constant (5°) and rainfall is high (snowfalls are abunfant in the mountains).

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise slowly (8° in March, 11° in April, 14° in May) and rainfall is moderate.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures are stable (16-18°) and rainfall is moderate.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures slowly drop (15° in September, 12° in October, 8° in November) and rainfall is moderate.
