Climate

 
Suriname has an equatorial climate with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons.

Temperatures are high on the coast (31° all year round) and mild on the central plateau (24 to 26° throughout the year). Rainfall reaches 2 500 mm per year (rains are higher in the east than in the west of the country).

First rainy season (December to January) and second rainy season (April to August)
Temperatures reach 31° on the coast and 24 to 26° on the plateau. Rainfall is abundant.

First dry season (February to March) and second dry season (September to November)
Temperatures are stable (31° on the coast and 24 to 26° on the plateau). Rainfall is moderate.
