The Trinidad and Tobago Islands have a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures are constant throughout the year (30° during the daytime and 22° at night). Annual rainfall is higher on the island of Trinidad (1700 to 2 000 mm on the coasts, 3,800 mm in the mountains) than on the island of Tobago (1 400 to 1 800 mm). Hurricanes rarely reach the islands.
