Tuvalu has a tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season.
Temperatures reach 30° throughout the year. Rainfall is higher on the southern islands (3 200 mm per year) than on the northen islands of the archipelago (2 500 mm per year). Sunshine is moderate (six to eight hours per day). Cyclones sometimes pass through the islands between December and April.
Rainy season (November to March)
Temperatures are constant (30°) and rainfall (heavy showers in the afternoon) is abundant.
Dry season (April to October)
Temperatures are stable (26°) and rainfall is high.
