Climate

 
Uruguay has a climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range between 16° in July and 30° in January. Rainfall (1 300 mm per year in the north, 900 mm per year in southern Uruguay) is regular throughout the year.

Winter (June to August)
Temperatures are low (14° in the South, 16° in the center and 18° in the north). Rainfall is moderate and sunshine is low (five to six hours a day). Violent winds regularly blow.

Spring (September to November)
Temperatures range from 17° in September to 22° in November. Rainfall is moderate.

Summer (December to February)
Temperatures reach 28° in the south and 32° in the north. Rainfall is moderate. Sunshine is high (nine to ten hours a day).

Autumn (March to May)
Temperatures reach 24° in March, 21° in April and 18° in May. Rainfall is moderate.
