Climate

 
The Czech Republic has a temperate continental climate with four seasons.

Temperatures range between 0° in January and 22° in July (they are lower in the mountains). Rainfall is higher in the mountains (1 000 mm per year) than in the plains (500 to 600 mm per year).

Winter (December to February)
Temperatures are low (0° in the plains, -10 to -15° in the mountains) or very low when cold winds blow. Rainfall is low but snow falls regularly.

Spring (March to May)
Temperatures rise progressively (7° in March, 12° in April, 17° in May) and rainfall is low.

Summer (June to August)
Temperatures oscillate between 22 and 25°. Rainfall is moderate and sunshine reaches eight hours a day.

Autumn (September to November)
Temperatures gradually drop (18° in September, 12° in October, 6° in November) and rainfall is low.
